Kuningan, 2 September 2023 – PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Refinery Unit VI Balongan, together with PT Polytama Propindo, held a gathering with media partners from the Indramayu, Cirebon, and Kuningan regions as a form of strengthening collaboration.
Approximately 46 media partners participated in this event, including journalists from online and print media, as well as television reporters.
The event, themed “Synergy of Unity and Independence with Stakeholders,” took place over two days, on September 1-2, 2023, at Sangkan Aqua Park Resort in Kuningan Regency, West Java.
Muhamad Anis, General Support Manager of PT KPI Refinery Unit VI Balongan, stated that journalists play a crucial role in disseminating information about the company’s activities and contributions. They serve as the frontline in communicating Pertamina’s message to the public through their published reports.
“We express our gratitude to the journalists who have been publishing Pertamina’s activities, both RU VI and Polytama,” said Anis. The collaborative event between RU VI Balongan and Polytama Propindo carries the spirit of One Pertamina, as emphasized by Shita Ristiana Narain, Corporate Communications Supervisor at PT Polytama Propindo, in her address on Friday night (September 1) in front of the media.
Meanwhile, Mohamad Zulkifli, Area Manager Communication, Relation, and CSR at PT KPI Refinery Unit VI Balongan, highlighted the significant role of the media as a stakeholder in educating the public about the processes involved in producing petroleum products at the Pertamina refinery, including distribution systems to the public.
“One of the products of the Balongan Refinery, namely Propylene, is sent to Polytama to be processed into plastic. Information like this would not reach the public without the participation of the media,” explained Zulkifli.
During the event, RU VI and Polytama also expressed appreciation to the media for their productive coverage of Pertamina’s activities.
