Yogyakarta, 28 August 2023 – Polytama actively participated in the Oil and Gas Production Facilities Forum held in Yogyakarta from August 28 to 31, 2023. This event, organized by the Indonesian Association of Oil and Gas Production Facilities Experts (IAFMI) in collaboration with Pertamina International Refinery, witnessed the presence of Polytama. Themed “Towards a Sustainable Future: Designing, Executing, Maintaining Safe and Reliable Facilities in The Energy Transition,” Polytama’s engagement in this event aligns with the company’s commitment to implementing sustainable business practices, particularly with regard to the environment.
Since becoming part of the Pertamina Group and in an ongoing effort to enhance performance and production in the polypropylene business in the country, Polytama has contributed to advancing the petrochemical industry through the Polypropylene Plant Balongan project. Simultaneously, Polytama is actively promoting environmental awareness by educating the audience and participants about responsible plastic use. As a producer of plastic polymers, Polytama takes the opportunity to introduce that polypropylene, of which it is a manufacturer, is a recommended type of plastic under the hashtag #plastikPPbaik.
The smooth progression of this event is expected to foster collaboration among industries, government bodies, academia, and the general public, leading to tangible steps toward sustainable energy.
