Jakarta, November 18, 2023 – As part of the #PlastikPPBaik (Good Plastic) campaign, focusing on Polypropylene (PP) plastic, PT Polytama Propindo (Polytama) participated in the biggest international event organized by Pamerindo Indonesia, the 34th Plastic & Rubber Indonesia 2023, themed “The Future of Plastic.” Held at JIEXPO Kemayoran Jakarta from November 15-18, 2023, the event brought together 474 leading companies from various countries, including Polytama.
Polytama also contributed as a speaker in a presentation addressing the theme “Collaboration Between the Industrial World and Universities in Accelerating the Petrochemical Industry.” Burhanudin, Project Director of Polytama, discussed plastic and the PP plastic industry, stating, “Polypropylene plastic has various advantages. The unique characteristics of PP resin allow products made from PP plastic to be used repeatedly, extending their lifecycle.”
By participating in this event, Polytama advocates for #PlastikPPBaik, aiming to convey a new perspective on plastic – that it is an innovation supporting environmental sustainability when managed appropriately and responsibly. Plastic has become an integral part of daily life.
Under the theme #PlastikBaik for environmental sustainability, Polytama introduced more than 1100 booth visitors to the environmentally friendly #PlastikPPBaik, specifically polypropylene plastic, which has been utilized in various everyday items.
The event also served as an opportunity to collaborate with several customer companies of Polytama participating in the exhibition. They showcased the processing of Masplene® PP resin into everyday items such as plastic benches, car fenders, food storage containers, and more.
Through these established synergies, Polytama believes that its flagship product, Masplene® #PlastikPPBaik, can collectively contribute to creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future. “We hope that through the series of activities conducted, the public’s perception of PP plastic and its various advantages can provide ease and diverse benefits to our lives,” stated Ferry Tanumihardja, Marketing & Sales Director of Polytama.
