Polytama won the Platinum Award in the Economic Empowerment category with the Bang Pilo program and the Gold Award in the Education category with the SEHATI program at ISRA 2024. At the Indonesia Social Responsibility Awards (ISRA) 2024 event held at the Grand Mercure Hotel in Solo, Polytama received two awards. The Platinum Award for the Bang Pilo Program was presented by the Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry, Alue Dohong, and received by Polytama’s President Director, Didik Susilo. The Gold Award for the SEHATI program was presented by the Director General of Pollution Control and Environmental Damage, Sigit Reliantore, and received by Polytama’s Corporate Secretary Manager, M. Andri Nugroho.
The Bang Pilo program is an initiative to support pindang fish producers in Lombang Village, Indramayu. The program provides training and assistance in legality, business management, improving production facilities, and marketing. Polytama also helped producers understand the use of polypropylene (PP) plastic for safe packaging. As a result, the program succeeded in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the income of producer groups.
The SEHATI program is an initiative to teach the importance of waste management and environmental awareness to elementary school students in Indramayu. The program involves making compost from inorganic waste, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. SEHATI supports schools by integrating this program into extracurricular activities, thereby fostering environmentally conscious behavior among students and teachers.
