Indramayu, 1 March 2023 – Polytama has just launched its latest Community Development program in the Company’s ring-1 area, with the name Bang Pilo (Development of Pindang Lombang).
This program was implemented in the village of Lombang by focusing on developing the potential of pindang fish, a traditional delicacy of the village. The launching event was carried out on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in collaboration with the Kenanga Education House and supported by other stakeholders, namely the local government of Lombang Village.
The launch program was attended by almost all MSMEs in Lombang Village which mainly produce processed pindang fish. Also attending the event are 29 entrepreneurs consisting of 2 groups, namely Maju Bersama and Bina Maju Sejahtera. The launching event was then proceeded with entrepreneurship training as one of the foundations in forming a new business group delivered by Darwinah from the Kenanga Education House, “The pindang fish business in Lombang Village are still operating traditionally. The group needs to receive assistance such as business management, HPP calculations, and business legality, to be able to develop into more advanced MSMEs entrepreneurship.” said Darwinah. A total of two groups which are new groups and have been formed and involved in this program.
In accordance with the expansion process that is currently being carried out by Polytama, the company will for sure continue its commitment to the advancement of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as reflected in the signing of a partnership with MSMEs to increase the capacity of MSMEs in Indramayu.
Bang Pilo Program Background
Started with the potential mapping in Lombang Village, it is known that almost all of the people in Lombang Village are pindang businessmen. The Pindang Lombang development program is one of the programs recommended by the Indramayu Regency National Defense Agency.
