
Indramayu, January 20, 2025 – PT Polytama Propindo (Polytama) enthusiastically welcomes National Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Month 2025, reaffirming its commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment during the Opening Ceremony of the National OHS Month 2025 at the Polytama Plant Site in Indramayu. The event was attended by company directors and management representatives, Polytama employees at the Plant Site, and business partners.
Carrying the theme “Strengthening Human Resource Capacity to Support the Implementation of the OHS Management System (SMK3) for National Productivity Enhancement,” this year’s celebration emphasizes the importance of improving employee competence and awareness in implementing an effective OHS Management System. The goal is not only to ensure workplace safety but also to drive sustainable productivity.
Remarkable Safety Achievements Entering the New Year
As the new year begins, Polytama records extraordinary achievements in workplace safety. As of December 2024, the company has successfully logged 25,637,134 safe working hours without any significant workplace accidents. This milestone is a testament to the successful implementation of a strong OHS culture and the dedication of every individual at Polytama—from management and field workers to business partners.
Additionally, the OK Card program implemented at Polytama has yielded remarkable results, with 4,300 OK Cards collected throughout 2024. These cards document observations of potential hazards, unsafe actions, or risky environments, serving as a proactive measure to prevent workplace accidents. The program aligns with Polytama’s vision of continuously fostering a strong safety culture.
Leadership’s Commitment to Safety Excellence
Joko Pranoto, President Director of Polytama, expressed gratitude for the company’s outstanding 2024 safety performance.
“We are truly grateful that we have completed 2024 without any major incidents. Achieving a total of 25,637,134 safe working hours is a result of the extraordinary collaboration of everyone at Polytama. Moreover, 2024 was a special year as we also received the Best Good Housekeeping Award across the entire Pertamina Group.”
He also emphasized the importance of safety as a core value at Polytama:

Kickoff Activities and Key Programs
The OHS Month Opening Ceremony commenced with an SMK3 awareness session focused on confined space safety, featuring expert speakers from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. This marks the beginning of a series of programs running until February 12, 2025.
As part of the OHS Month celebration, Polytama has prepared a range of safety-focused initiatives, including:
- PIP Challenge (Patuh, Intervensi, Peduli – Compliance, Intervention, Care)
A team-based competition where participants implement safety improvement programs to instill a culture of mutual care and responsibility for workplace safety. - HSE Challenge
An emergency response simulation program, incorporating critical scenarios to enhance team preparedness and response capabilities in emergency situations. - Blood Donation Drive
A corporate social responsibility initiative to support local healthcare and communities. - Good Housekeeping (GHK) Competition
A cleanliness and organization contest held at both the Plant Site and Head Office, aimed at creating a more orderly, green, and productive workplace environment.
Sustainability Commitment: Tree-Planting Initiative
During the opening ceremony, Polytama also launched a tree-planting initiative, with 12 trees planted by President Director Joko Pranoto, along with management, the General Manager, and other company leaders. This initiative will continue throughout 2025 as part of Polytama’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
